Our art project

ART ASSOCIATION HORIZON FIELD

The Kunstverein was founded in 2012 with the intention of making Horizon Field a permanent artwork for the region.

ART IN PUBLIC SPACE

The association has subsequently developed the objective of bringing world-class art to Vorarlberg, but also to promote high-quality art from the region. There is also a focus on art in public spaces. The Management Board has the networks and expertise to implement even large and complex projects. The association is financed from private funds.

Skyspace-Lech

The most important project in recent years was the realization of the Skyspace-Lech by light artist James Turrell. This project has brought a world-class work of art to Vorarlberg. Skyspace-Lech has been very well received in the years since its opening in 2018 and is a fascinating addition to the regional art scene.

Private commitment to art

HORIZON FIELD — Kunstverein Vorarlberg now has around 70 committed members and a large number of supporters. With the experience we have gained and in close cooperation with the artist Antony Gormley, we are pursuing our original goal of returning his landscape installation to Vorarlberg.
